The Barbarian Invasions

In this belated sequel to'The Decline of the American Empire', Remy, 50-something Montreal faculty professor, learns that he is dying of liver disease. He also decides to make amends meet to his friends and family until he expires. He tries to make peace with his ex wife Louise, who requests his estranged son a entrepreneur living in London, Sebastian to come home. Sebastian makes the impossible happen, using his connections and interrupting the entire Canadian system at every way possible to aid his dad struggle with his terminal ailment to the bitter end, '' he tries to return his former friends, Pierre, Alain, Dominique, Diane, along with Claude to watch his old friend before he passes on.
