It was animated at the Offbeat Productions Studios at Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand. Coming on the heels of this direct-to-video movie The Return of Jafar, the series picked up at which installment left off, together with Aladdin surviving in the palace, also participated to Princess Jasmine. "Al" and Jasmine went together into peril among sorcerers, monsters, thieves, plus much more. The revived Magic Carpet monkey side kick Abu, and also the fast-talking, shape-shifting Genie came along to help , as did whining parrot Iago, formerly Jafar's pet however currently an antihero.
