The narrative of a set of siblings pretty much abandoned by their own parents, surviving by their wits - and - comedy - on a Manchester council estate that is rough. Whilst they wont admit it, they need help and find it in Steve, a young middle class lad who falls for Fiona and increasingly finds himself drawn to this unconventional and exceptional family.
