Blood Paradise
When Robin Richards's latest book doesn't sell well, her publisher sends her on a trip to the Swedish countryside in an attempt to get back to writing again. There, she meets a lot of weird people, including her driver, his jealous wife, and the owner of the farm where she's being kept, who is becoming more and more crazy. To start with, Robin is always dressed for a glamorous, big-city life. Robin soon finds out how dangerous these people might be, though, because she is so out of place. The first film by Patrick von Barkenberg, who also plays Robin's boyfriend, is filled with dreamy atmospheres and laced with quirky humor. Winter, who keeps your attention glued to the screen, is the only thing that holds it all together.
