Saving Mbango
It's about a young child (John) who becomes the breadwinner of a chaotic household. His stormy and chaotic family history comes in the way of his hopes and ambitions. John falls in love with Mbango, a country girl with problems that make John's seem insignificant. John's world becomes even more tumultuous. He's caught between controlling his broken family and saving the woman he loves. He is constantly harassed by his aggressive and alcoholic father, reckless older brother, and cruel unmarried sisters. This film is directed by Nkanya Nwai and shot in Mondoni, a rural hamlet in the South West area of Cameroon.
