Desert Coffee

In the Californian portion of the Sonoran desert, in close proximity to military posts, there is a "wild" community known as Slab City that is populated by American Dream exiles. They were of varied ages and brought with them a variety of stories, but they all chose independence, even at the expense of the most fundamental comforts. Rob's homemade Internet café, which provides "the greatest coffee in the neighborhood," is the only location in the area with electricity.
