Gurren Lagann
In the not too distant future, humans construct their homes and care for their livestock in caves located deep underground. Because of this, they have been living in constant fear of the occasional cave-in and earthquake for the better part of the past few hundred years. Jeeha is an example of one of these villages. A little boy named Simon was helping his family build their village when one day he came across a sparkling, compact drill while they were excavating. At the same time, Kamina, a guy who is convinced that there is another land above the town, is trying to get a thug to smash through the ceiling so that they might escape the cave. An earthquake strikes out of nowhere, causing the ceiling to cave in. Shortly after, a large robot crashes through the crumbled ceiling. After more investigation, Kamina is confident that there is another world above them. He rushes into battle against the robot without thinking things through. At that very instant, another individual materializes from the earth above. Yoko is the name of the young lady in question. She had been following the robot while holding a weapon in her hands. Nevertheless, the only thing she could do was try to divert it. Then, Simon reveals his discovery to Kamina and Yoko after he's finished looking. It's a strange robot with its head serving as both its body and its head.
